I purchased this light a couple months ago and wanted to test it out fully and Live as an extra light effect during the opening introduction to a Las Vegas magic show that I dj for. And I must admit, this light has definately exceeded my expectations of what it brings to the show, considering on the price range. So far I've had no issues with anything on it's performance and features advertised. It also covers a very impressive and large amount of area with a wide range of different speeds and color combinations for being such a small and lightweight fixture. I Highly recommend this light, especially if you do not have or would rather not connect it to a dmx controller. I definately love the preprogrammed and voice/sound control option with the use of the ir remote. Also, if you are new to controlling your light through an IR remote just make sure that if you are using the remote to control the light, that there are no other stage or dj lights directly around it or you'll change those other light fixtures while trying to control this one. I am definately purchasing another one of the lights!!!I have the light mounted on my wall. I also purchased the Chauvet IRC remote to go with it. I first used it with just my computer speakers with a small subwoofer, but now I have a behringer 1000w speaker on a stand, so the sensitivity and the way the lights react to the music is much much better. I did upload a HD video but the quality on Amazon was so bad, I took it down. Make sure you use a smoke machine to see the streams of light properly. You don't need nothing special if you're in a small room, just some cheap $25-30 machine. The remote allows you to go through all the individual colors, strobes, adjust sensitivity, speed etc. I mostly leave it on auto. Overall I love this light, definitely worth the price.I’m a DJ and when I bought my first one, I had to buy another. This little light packs a punch. It’s bright and goes far. Yes you can slave them to match. I leave mine on auto For sound sensitivity and I never have to worry. Get 2! It’s more than enough for what you need.Very clever instrument. I use it in a professional theatre, but only when other lights are at a lower intensity. Made for smaller venues than mine, but under the right conditions it does a great job at a low cost. Surprisingly bright for the size. I use DMX control, but be prepared to write your own profile. The one in the ETX Colorsource must be for an earlier version because it doesn't work properly. It would be nice to have a master dimmer, but it doesn't. So it is either on or off. Thinking about adding another one or two to increase my coverage on a 40foot wide stage. This is a great light for smaller parties up to half court sized gyms. It has some awesome beams and movement. The rotation is not continuous the motor can only rotate 1-1/2 times before having to go the other direction. They're four LED's Red, Green, Blue, and White. In auto mode these will dim and flash in time with your music. With a DMX you have more control over rotation speed, index, and color choices. When in DMX mode it is not possible to dim this fixture, which can be a trade off from using the normal presets. For those looking for a simple party light this is a great hit. When paired with other lights on DMX universe it makes a nice effect light bright enough for large groups/weddings. An options IR remote makes it possible to change colors and settings without a DMX controller.I'm really happy with this light! I was looking for something that would be easy to set up to add a little extra pizazz and atmosphere to small club/performance spaces. (We used it to effect light a 25'x15' dance floor in the back of a long dive bar, attached to a pole stand meant for construction/work lights; the beams were so strong, it carried the effect nicely to about mid-bar.) It has a wide angle of throw, so you can get a lot of coverage, but still have it angled slightly up to it doesn't blind people (If its above their heads). It was even able to be seen when the bar's regular lights were at about 60-70% up. The auto/sound feature worked well; it didn't have to be right against the speaker. I haven't tried controlling it in other ways. Since my purchase, I've seen several other mobile DJs with small set-ups that have this same light; their happy with theirs too. This is definitely professional. I will say that it is not that easy to use but I love how many options there are. The reach is awesome. I bought two and think I might only need one lolIt's a great starter light for DJs. It works well and covers a good amount of wall in our church basketball court gym. I thought one wasn't enough so I purchased a second one. I feel like the second one was a little too much light. Also, my second one ended up being less sensitive than my first one so it's a hit or miss I guess. Don't get two. Just get one and then purchase something else to compliment it.A very impressive lighting device thats a little noisy because of the fan cooling, but when the music is playing it does not matter. Reacts well, beams are bright and precise. Moves are nice too. When used with a hazer/fog/smoke machine, this is truly a very impressive unit in any disco setting alone or in a pair. DMX-programmable, works with remote (sold separately). Strobe effect also. I used this alongside with Eurolite SCY-7 (pointed higher) and you can see from the pics how cool this looked.Bought a couple of these for a party and they work really well. They aren't the cheapest derby lights out there but are well made and add great effect/atmosphere to the dance floor. Well worth investing in a smoke machine too as it really adds to the effect.Love this. It’s perfect for our bar and gives it a real party atmosphere.Great! This unit is easy to control via DMX and really bright! Must Buy!great light
